Hydra Aquatics proudly trains out of Tuckahoe Recreation Club, a premier year-round facility in McLean, Virginia. With both indoor and outdoor pools, our team benefits from consistent, high-quality training across all seasons and athlete levels.
Our indoor and outdoor facilities are optimized for performance, safety, and long-term athlete development—and support programs ranging from beginners to national-level swimmers.
Indoor Pool
6-lane, 25-yard pool heated to 82°F. Depth ranges from 3ft to 13ft. Ideal for beginner instruction and competitive training. Includes starting blocks, dryland space, and open-air garage doors that provide fresh airflow during warm months. Used for Developmental, 8&U, Age Group, and Senior 1 morning practices year-round.
Outdoor Pool
10-lane, 25-meter heated pool with year-round dryland zones and unbeatable fresh-air conditions. Depth ranges from 4ft to 9ft. Perfect for high-performance training with outstanding air quality and deck space for advanced dryland sessions. Used by Senior 2/3 and all Senior long course groups.
Practice Adjustments for Weather
In cases of extreme weather, Senior 2/3 groups will shift to the indoor pool to avoid cancellations and maintain consistency.
